Rs 10 Crore bill received for looking after Mr. Kasab

It's been about a year since i found time to add something to my blog. The main reason being the blog sites being blocked in my prevoius office. But not now. And this time also its Mr. Kasab again, who has brought me back to write something on my blog..Such an Inspiration right..:)

Recently Maharashtra government received a bill of about Rs 10 Crore towards reimbursement of looking after Kasab. Instead of thinking about is that worth spending that large amount on the terrorist, the Maharashtra Government is writing a letter to the Central government that it cant bear the entire amount and the Central government should help them by giving some money as saving kasab is a national issue, not maharashtra's alone.

Well, i am out of words to tell about the mentality of the government officials. They are asking the central government to give them money to save kasab, instead can't they think that spending such an amount of money on a terrorist is useless. Can't they hang him soon and use the same money for other development rather than wasting money on a terrorist.

May be they dont want him to get hanged, so that they can eat the money using Kasab's name. Bigger Terrorists i can say.

Maharashtra government is stunned after receiving a Rs 10 crore bill from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) towards reimbursing expenses on guarding 26/11 terrorist Ajmal Kasab, lodged in the Arthur Road jail here.

Confirming that the state government did receive the Rs 10 crore tag from ITBP, Medha Gadgil, principal secretary, Home, said that the Maharashtra authorities are writing to the ITBP.

"We are in the process of writing to them. We will explain that 26/11 terror attacks is not only an issue limited to Maharashtra but a national issue," she said.

The state government received a request for reimbursement of Rs 10.87 crore from the Director-General, ITBP, New Delhi, R K Bhatia for expenses incurred between March 28, 2009 and September 30, 2010.

"What Kasab and his associates did is an attack not only on Mumbai but an attack on India and it is unfair to ask the state government to bear the burden (for ITBP guarding Kasab)," another senior Home department official said.

The ITPB was deployed in the jail in the run-up to the 26/11 trial, held in a special sessions court set up in the jail premises.

Last year, the home department sought an extension for the deployment of the ITBP which comprised around 200 commandos, armed with sophisticated weaponry and communication equipment, guarding Kasab 24x7.

The ITBP team was deployed for the trial period, after which the state government wrote to the Centre, seeking an extension, the official said.

Kasab says he never saw a AK-47 in his life :)

This is how the terrorists are trained. The person who earlier had admitted to his crimes and made a passionate plea to be "hanged" is now telling that he has not seen AK-47 in his life. He thinks that people of India will believe whatever he say. He should be hanged soon otherwise, he will start doing such naatak's everyday.

In a dramatic turn around, the lone captured Pakistani terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Amir alias Kasab Friday retracted his confession made earlier saying that he had come to Mumbai to work in Bollywood films and had never seen an AK-47 rifle in his life.

Retracting the confession made before a magistrate Feb 20 this year, Kasab told a special court that he had come to Mumbai at least 20 days before the 26/11 terror attacks.

"I was arrested three days before the 26/11 attacks, when I was going around Juhu area with some friends. I was in police custody at the time of the attacks," he told the stunned courtroom.

Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said that he had always anticipated that Kasab would retract his confessional statement.

"He has been trained by the terror organisations how to handle these things. But it (the retraction) will not affect the merits of the case in any manner. We have built up a solid evidence of 610 witnesses against him," Nikam told reporters during the lunch recess.

Kasab said that he had come to India on valid travel documents, but it is missing since his alleged arrest by police. He claimed that he had also lost his mobile phone and he did not know the whereabouts of his friends.

To a query from Special Judge M.L. Tahilyani, Kasab claimed that he was nabbed by the police since he was a Pakistani, three days before the attacks took place in Mumbai.

Kasab added that he closely resembled one of the terrorists killed in the 26/11 attacks and therefore was forced to take his place by police.

Kasab's surprise retraction of his confession came during the recording of his statement at the start of the second phase of the terror attacks trial.

He had earlier gone back on the confession July 20 in the court and later admitted to his crimes and made a passionate plea to be "hanged".

Kasab also claimed that he was forced to make and sign a confession before the magistrate.

"I was not present in the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) and I did not open firing inside the railway station. I have never seen an AK-47 in my life, or even a rubber dingy," he claimed.

He said that he had been interrogated by four white men of whom one was David Coleman Headley, one of the terror accused who is now in custody in US.

Reacting to this, Nikam said the accused had made only "a passing reference" to Headley and T. Rana, both arrested in the US, and not a detailed statement on the issue.

26/11 Mumbai Terror Attack. Its been almost one year now but it is still fresh in our minds.It was the worst terror attack on Indians till date.

The Mumbai city was burning. How can anyone forget the flames coming out of the Taj Hotel in front of the Gateway of India. How can anyone forget the reckless shooting of people inside CST railway station. The blood was everywhere.
The attacks occurred at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, the Oberoi Trident, the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Leopold Cafe, Cama Hospital, Nariman House, the Metro Cinema and a lane behind the Times of India building and St. Xavier's College.

The people behind this terrorist attack were members of Lashkar-e-Taiba, the Pakistan-based militant organization.

On a day that symbolised the victory of Durga, a brave Muslim woman in a remote Jammu village axed to death a dreaded Lashkar terrorist without any help.

Police believe that the slain terrorist was Osama, a Pakistan-based LeT commander, wanted in many cases of extortion and terror related activities.

The incident happened when two terrorists barged into her house in Thana Mandi village in Rajouri district Sunday night. Showing a great presence of mind, Rashida Begum, who is in her early 40s, grabbed an axe that was at her hand's reach and flung it at the terrorists, killing one of the armed terrorists and injuring the other. Seeing his partner dead, the other terrorist took to his heels.

According to the police, the two terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba, the Pakistan-based group that carried out the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, had barged into Noor Ahmad's home around 9pm and wanted to seek revenge and hold the family hostage for refusing to give shelter to Pak based ultras.

Police said the two started beating the family members of Noor for not providing information on people who refused to harbour terrorists. Even as they were beating up the men, Noor's wife, Rashida rushed into the room and threw an axe at a terrorist from behind. The terrorist died on the spot.

She then charged at the second terrorist who was taken by surprise at the developments. Rashida and the rest of the family members managed to overpower him and snatch his weapon. However, the terrorist escaped under the cover of darkness, but not before receiving sharp cuts in the face-off with the furious housewife.

Security forces are combing the area for the escaped terrorist.

We give so much love to the Terrorists who kill us

As We all know, Mohammed Amir Ajmal Kasab, the only surviving member of the terrorist squad that struck at multiple locations in Mumbai last November is under trail.

Indian government is trying its best to put the best foot forward in this trial. This is being viewed by some as an opportunity to prove to the world that India is for, by and of the people; that every person in India deserves a fair trial.

Let me put some facts in perspective. A thick security blanket has been thrown in and around a special court where the trial of Mohammed Ajmal Kasab is being held. As many as 500 police personnel were deployed on the road leading to the special court set up inside Arthur Road Jail in central Mumbai. One side of the road was closed to traffic. Security personnel in plainclothes were seen moving around the court. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel, who are also guarding Kasab in the jail, patrolled around the area near the court premises. Media persons were checked multiple times prior to entering the court and were not allowed to carry anything on their person, including notepads and pens. A separate enclosure has been created for media vehicles some distance away from the court. No vehicle parking was allowed anywhere around the court. A special vehicle obtained by the Mumbai Police to scan for explosives has also been pressed into service around the court.

The question is not about how every effort is being held to conduct a fair trial but its around the fact that our hard earned tax money is being spent by our government on a person who waged a war against the innocent people of India. Even the United States does not conduct or reveal any information about spies held in their custody or rebels captured in Iraq for that matter.

It goes without saying that a 26/11 terrorist should not be equated to a captured soldier and the Kasab episode should soon end with him terminated as per the law.
This drama made sense if there was a ray of hope that Pakistan would agree for once that the terrorists were trained by their army. But given that its a remote possibility, lets bring the Kasab episode to its forgone conclusion.

After facing trial in the Mumbai attack case for nearly six months, the lone surviving Pakistani gunman Ajmal Kasab today said he had "no faith" in Indian court and made a dramatic plea for transfer of the case to an international court.

But Judge M L Tahaliyani rejected 22-year-old Kasab's plea saying "it is misconceived".

"I have no faith in Indian court and this case may be transferred to an International court", Kasab said in an application to the court. He had moved the application written in his own hand in Urdu.

The application was filed through jail authorities who translated it into Marathi and produced before the court.

The judge asked Kasab whether he had written the application and he replied "ji huzoor" (Yes, Sir).

The trial of Kasab, whom police formally charged in February with several offences including "waging war" against India, began on March 23 via a video link with his Arthur Road prison in Mumbai. Kasab and other suspected Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives killed 166 people in a three-day rampage in the city on November 26 last.

In another development, the judge also rejected the plea of co-accused Fahim Ansari to stay the proceedings on the ground that he had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking transfer of the 26/11 case to some other court alleging that the recording of evidence was incorrect.

"This is yet another attempt by the accused to delay the trial", noted judge Tahaliyani while rejecting Fahim's plea to stay the proceedings.

Son Plants Bomb in Goa and Dad sends legal notice to Police

I remembered the song "IT Happens Only In India", by reading about this particular incident. The Great Indian Son plants bomb killing and injuring several people in Goa, and his much Greater Indian Father sends legal notice to Police about his sons dead body.

Siddhagonda Patil, father of the deceased Malgonda Patil, who was killed in the Margao bomb explosion, has served a legal notice on Margao police for their failure to hand over him his son's body.

The notice, which is served through his lawyer V M Deshpande, demands that the State should pay Rs 20,000 for the family of Malgonda as they incurred in these expenses in coming to Goa to take over the body.

Police called Malgonda Patil's family members to take the possession of the body to perform final rites but at the last minute told that the postmortem is yet to be conducted, the lawyer Deshpande said this evening.

Malgonda Patil is named as a prime accused in the 16/10 Margao blast case. Patil was killed few hours after one amongst the three explosives exploded and his accomplice Yogesh Naik, died on Tuesday after being critically injured.

Siddhagonda wanted that after receipt of the notice, police, with due respect, should bring the body to Karjanagi, Post Nigadi, Taluk Jat, District Sangli.
