In a shocking incident, a die-hard fan of actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi killed his father for not casting his vote for the superstar’s newly formed Praja Rajyam Party (PRP).
The incident took place in Visakhapatnam district in coastal Andhra after the first phase of polling Thursday but came to light Saturday.

The police said Kosuru Rajubabu, a labourer in Acchampet, became angry after learning that his 55-year-old father Kosuru Bullabbai cast his vote for Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and stabbed him to death Thursday night.

Rajubabu, 23, with the help of few villagers buried his father on the village outskirts the same night and the next day told the people that he died a natural death. The villagers, however, grew suspicious and one of them informedthe police.

The police arrested Rajubabu, who confessed that he murdered his father for not voting for PRP. A police officer said further investigations were on.

Rajubabu is said to be an ardent fan of superstar Chiranjeevi since his childhood and had been campaigning for PRP launched by the actor recently.

His father was a supporter of legendary actor N.T. Rama Rao and the TDP founded by him.The father and son had a heated argument before the polling about whom to vote for.

Rajubabu tried to convince his father that he support the PRP. Bullabbai was adamant on voting for TDP. He later agreed to his son’s suggestion and promised to vote for the PRP.

After the voting, Rajubabu was enraged when his father told him that he voted for the TDP.The two had another round of heated argument and the son killed his father the same night.

In Andhra Pradesh, especially in the coastal region, popular Telugu actors enjoy the status of demi-gods. The fan following of superstars like late NTR and Chiranjeevi border on madness.

New born babies thrown off roofs to thank God : Video

How can anyone throw their new born baby from a roof of 50 feet height just for following some of their bizarre religious tradition. If by mistake the head of the child bangs to the ground directly, the child will be spot dead. Still, people in india take this risk.

Read On.. and have a look at the video also.

Religious traditions are diverse and sometimes as bizarre as they can get. A village in Solapur, Maharashtra, has a dangerous tradition of throwing newborns from a height of 50 feet onto a sheet, which is held by devotees.

The infants are thrown off the roof of the Baba Sheikh Umar Saheb Dargah in Musti village in Solapur. This is an age-old tradition practiced by couples who are blessed with a child after taking a vow at the dargah. The devotees also believe that this ritual is good for the health of the child.

“People have been following this tradition for almost 500 years now. They believe that if they throw the child from the roof then it does good to him or her,” deputy sarpanch of Musti village, Ravikiran Mehta said.

While the practice may seem dangerous and superstitious to others, the devotees strongly believe that the fall will not harm the infants. The reason given is that there has been no recorded evidence of any physical disability to the infants.

“It’s our family tradition and so we follow it,” a devotee said.

VILLAGERS in India have "married" off a young girl to a stray dog to ward off an evil spirit which they believed was threatening the family.
The locals at Munda Dhanda village in Jharkhand state, performed the ceremony as they believe it will overcome any curse that might fall on the family.

Interestingly, the girl is free to get married later in life to a man without even seeking a divorce.

Superstitions are widespread in India, especially in rural areas where literacy is scarce.

Be careful while leaving your child to a baby-sitter

In olden days, mom used to take care of their children and dad used to go out for work. But in recent times its often seen that both the parents go out to work leaving their kids to be taken care by baby-sitters or in home-stays. People do this so that to meet all their expenses and save more money for their future. The parents will never know what is their child going through.
A worst nightmare occurred recently in Bangalore, where in the baby-sitter nanny sedated the children and rent them out to begging. This is horrifying. Hence be careful henceforth while leaving out your child in some home-stay.

The worst nightmare of working parents entrusting the care of their children to nannies became a reality for a city couple recently.

As soon as they would kiss their little one goodbye, the nanny would feed him and get him ready - for a day of begging on the streets of Bangalore. Instead of milk, the baby was fed sedatives; instead of the clothes carefully put out by his parents, she would dress him up in rags.

The modus operandi was simple - she would hand the seven-month-old baby to beggars for Rs 100 a day and lie back at her employers' home, watch soaps and feed herself to her heart's content. And this was not an `ayah' picked up by hearsay reference, she came duly recruited by an employment agency, considered a safe option.

The horrifying story was revealed when the child's mother - who works for an MNC - returned home early one day. She found the nanny sitting in front of the TV but the baby was missing. Taken aback, she confronted the nanny who then confessed that she had been sending the baby for begging for the past three weeks.

It's only then that the parents realized why their son was drowsy and inactive in the evenings - he was being sedated everyday but for weekends when the parents would be home. Strangely, though, the couple have so far not lodged a police complaint.

PM Manmohan Singh's security blanket caused the death of a kidney patient

We often face the problem due to security cover of VVIP's. Most common problem is traffic congestion. We need to wait for hours on a signal just to allow the VVIP move smoothly. Why always common man has to suffer?
While important people like the PM need to be given total security cover, there must be better ways of providing it. It’s bad enough when VIP security disrupts traffic on the roads for much longer than needed.
But when a city’s most important hospital becomes off bounds for patients urgently needing life-saving attention, it is totally unacceptable. If providing security to the PM on campus means disrupting the functioning of the hospital’s essential and emergency services, even for a few minutes, the function must be held elsewhere. Ceremonies are not and cannot be more important than saving lives — least of all for a hospital.

Prime minister Manmohan Singh's security blanket caused the death of a kidney patient at the gates of the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGI) while the PM addressed a convocation inside.

Sumit Verma, 35, a kidney patient, was rushed from Ambala, 45 km away, after he developed a cardiac problem and needed urgent attention at the PGI emergency. But because of special security arrangements in view of the PM's visit, his van was made to shuttle between PGI's two main gates for over an hour and a half. The patient died before he could reach the emergency ward.

"We reached PGI when the prime minister had just arrived. The cops had sealed the road to the PGI emergency and we were told to use another gate. At the second gate, we were told to go to yet another place and from their directed back to the original gate. This delayed our reaching the hospital and Sumit died," said a family member accompanying the patient.

A large number of other patients, too, faced problems as they were barred from entering PGI till the prime minister left. Inside the hospital, the prime minister lamented that health services in the country were far from satisfactory. He exhorted the research scholars to uphold the motto of "service to the poorest and research for the good of all".
